50D and Next Rebel 500D

I’ve had my 50D for a month now, and I must say I enjoy using it mostly due to the quick dial wheel and the amazingly high resolution LCD. Reviewing the 50D LCD is easier because it is brighter, sharper, and obviously has more resolution than the 450D can provide.
I am finding that the IQ between the 450D and the 50D are very similar, although the focusing using liveview is more accurate on the 50D due to its higher resolution screen. As a result I get more detail out of the 50D landscape shots I take, given that I have a more accurate focus.
I also enjoy using ISO 1600 and 3200, and having a higher FPS available to me. As a male, I also find that the 50D is easier to hold and does not cause any hand cramping the way the 450D has in the past.
Rumors are floating that the next rebel the 500D (which may be announced next week) will actually have the digital rebels first implementation of a rear control dial. I know that the Rebel 500D with its implementation of the high resolution LCD will once again make the rebel an amazing camera to own and use. I know I can’t wait for it to be announced and when it is I will post as much information as is available on this site.
Have a nice weekend, and get out and shoot!

Another printing source

I stumbled across Adorama Pix last week and noticed that they offer the ability to print on Kodak Endura Metallic, Linen/Silk, and Super Luster. I’ve heard about the metallic prints previously and wanted to see if it really provided something different.. My first 11×14 print arrived yesterday on kodak endura metallic and I must say the photo really pops like I’ve never had a print appear before. Its a photo of a city that I took. Each building has a metallic appearance to it, that just gives the photo a unique 3d appearance and depth. Anyway I wanted to pass that along as I was quite pleased with the results and was not aware of this availability until last week. Below is a small ad which will also provide 50 free prints to our readers as a bonus should you check it out.
