New sports photos with the XSi and 70-200

I took my 70-200 and XSi to a NFL game this weekend.  I will be updating the “sports shooting section” with additional images and content.  Here are some of the results:

Sharpening and other random thoughts

This site has now been up for two weeks and I’ve added as much content as I have time for.
I added two sharpening technique videos via youtube under the sharpening technique section. The 2nd one is nice because it zooms in, neither has sound yet as I’m waiting for a microphone I ordered to arrive!

So while you learn about your XSi I’ve been learning about post processing more and more, and I believe I have found two methods that I like the most to sharpen images. Edge sharpening seems to provide excellent results to suit my tastes. I am going to create a quick tutorial on how to do it. In fact it sounds complicated but can be achieved in less than 3 minutes per image.

I have updated lessons on exposure, addressed the 450d auto focus issue,   added a airbrush lesson, added an equipment I use section with convenient links to amazon.com.  This weekend I recorded my first “lesson” i’m in the process of editing it and putting together a nice intro package for the camera.
